Ericha Clare, ND, LAc, IFMCP

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Ericha Clare has always been interested in biology and health. She earned a bachelors in biochemistry from Portland State University, followed by a research position in a neuroendocrine lab at Oregon Health Sciences University. She loved the science there but felt her calling was in direct service to people, so she channeled her passion for nutrition and science into earning a doctorate in naturopathic medicine.

Having experienced the healing power of acupuncture in her own injury, she was compelled to earn a masters in acupuncture so she can offer this therapy to her patients. Acupuncture helps with healing injured body parts and promoting overall health so is a perfect complement to any treatment plan.

Dr. Clare completed training to become a certified functional medicine practitioner by the Institute for Functional Medicine, the recognized industry leader. She is interested in helping people age well, in particular to maintain their memory, thinking and planning functions (cognition) well into old age.

Her favorite thing about integrative medicine is that there is always something more we can do for someone, that there is deep wisdom in natural traditions as well as a bright future of new research and technology, which can be borrowed on to enhance our own body’s innate efforts to heal.

Dr. Clare is a volunteer community educator for the Alzheimer's Association, leading in-person and webinar classes for the public about what Alzheimer's disease is, early warning signs of this type of dementia, and ways to help improve brain and body health.

Personal Interests
Dr. Clare loves to cook vibrant healthy meals. Movies, books and TV usually center around human interest: biography, adventure, food and comedy. She enjoys activities that combine movement with mediation, like yoga, and if out in nature even better, such as gardening, hiking and kayaking. When restrictions lift, she looks forward to resuming tango lessons.
